After a magical mishap at the Ponyville Renaissance Fair, Twilight Sparkle, Bon-Bon, Lyra, and Derpy Hooves are catapulted back into Ye Olde Times, the lawless, barbaric age that predated Princess Celestia's rise to power.

Can these unlikely heroes - Bon-Bon the Knight of Sweets, Lyra the minstrel, and Derpy Hooves the Bubble Wizard - survive in a land of bandits, mercenaries, and tyrants long enough to rescue Twilight from the dungeon of the Great and Powerful Queen Trixie and return home? Or is their LARP-tastic quest doomed from the start?
